JobOverview Therolefora FreightAccountManagerisextremelyvariedwhereyouwillbecomeakeymemberofanoperationsteam,activelyinvolvedinmanagingimportsshipmentsfromstarttofinish.Youwillberesponsibleforarrangingshipmentsbytheappropriatemethodtosuittheclientsrequirementi.e.airfreight,roadfreight,courier,seafreight&crosstrademovements.Youwillbehandsonwitheveryaspectoftheforwardingprocess,ensuringthecustomerreceivesthehighestlevelofservice,andthattheyreceivetheirgoodssafelyandon-time. TasksandresponsibilitiesfortheImportFreightAccountManager: Workingtostrictdeadlinestoco-ordinateWorldwidemultimodalimportswithendtoendresponsibility(liaisingwithoverseasagents/airlines/transportprovidersandcustomersuntilpointofdelivery). Strongcustomerrelationshipstounderstandrequirementsandalwaysdeliverexcellentcustomerservice. Processingrelevantimport or export documentationincluding CustomsentriesusingASMSequoia. Liaisingeffectivelyandbuildingcloserelationshipswithoursupplychainincludingshippers,importers,agentsandclients. Quotations,pricingandinvoicingclients. Requirements,Skills&Experienceforthe FreightAccountManager: Minimum3+yearsexperienceininastarttofinishrolein either AirFreightImports and/or exports. Customsentryexperience Customerservice-excellenttelephonemannerandEnglishcommunicationskills(verbal&written) Computerliterate-goodlevelonMicrosoftWord/Excel. Inhousesystems-useofCargowiseOneisconsideredanadvantage. Desiredcharacteristicsforthe FreightAccountManager: Hardworking&enthusiasticwithahighlevelofattentiontodetail. Apositivecan-doattitude,withawillingnesstolearn/takeresponsibilityanddevelopnewskills. Quickproblem-solvingability,particularlywhenworkingunderpressure.
