With a flexible working pattern and a range of incredible benefits, this is a role that offers endless opportunities for growth and success.nReporting to the Resort Manager, the main job duties will include, but are not limited to:nn To fully understand brand standards as they relate to your department and to develop training for your team members and ensure PDS benchmarks are achievedn To complete relevant staff forms, including but not limited to holiday requisitions, sick leave, leavers etcn To make sure your department stays motivated and morale stays highn To prepare rota's, deal with sickness/holiday cover and ensure a copy is given to Resort Manager weeklyn To update TMs of the day tasks and the previous day events in a roll call every morningn To ensure the day to day cleanliness of all communal areasn To ensure that the required cleaning chemicals/equipment are available to the teamn To carry out monthly stock checks; laundry, consumables, inventory itemsn To liaise with the maintenance manager regarding 'in-house' work requiredn To operate the department with ongoing consideration for our sustainability goalsn To embrace all guest feedback, reviewing any possible operational changes needed as a result, sharing both areas for improvement and service excellence with team membersn To maintain a hands on role within the department as and when requiredn To keep the department in line with all the Health & Safety requirementsn To carry out weekly and monthly Health and Safety checksn Ordering of materials, ensuring purchase requisitions are used and are correctly codedn To attend weekly Head of Department meetingsn In the absence of the Resort Manager to act as a Duty Manager if called uponnnSkills and experience required to fulfil the role include:nn Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is essentialn The ability to multi task and work under pressuren Excellent communication skills both written and verbaln The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a teamn Must be computer literaten Demonstrable motivation and negotiation skills would be advantageousn Strong administrative skillsnnThe role demands 40 hours of work per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays, on a rotating shift basis.
