Job description TM Scotland East Kilbride and Glasgow are pleased to be partnering with a new client based in Kilsyth to recruit an experienced Press Shop Setter / General Operative. This opportunity is offered on a temp to perm basis, with employment provided through Taskmaster. Our client, a well-respected employee-owned engineering business, is currently looking to add a reliable and skilled Press Shop Setter / General Operative to their production team. This role is key to maintaining smooth operations across their press shop and wider factory environment. This is initially a temporary role with a genuine opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and operate press machines to produce metal components to specification Read and interpret technical engineering drawings Carry out general factory duties including manual handling and production tasks Support welding and basic fabrication tasks when required Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment What we require for you to be considered: Strong engineering background (essential) Previous experience in a manufacturing or press shop environment Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings Welding experience Physically fit and able to perform manual work Forklift experience and/or waste handling knowledge A team player with a reliable and proactive work ethic What our client can offer you: Genuine temp to perm opportunity Weekly pay via Taskmaster on PAYE Day shift hours with early Friday finish A key role in a successful, employee-owned business Supportive and skilled team environment Opportunity to build a long-term career with a respected employer Shifts: Monday to Thursday : 7:30am 4pm and Friday : 7:50am 12pm Compliance understanding: Please note all applicants must be able to provide full right to work documentation, evidence of national insurance number from an official letter from HMRC, and have an active bank account in your own name for processing wages.
