Our client is on the lookout for a Footwear Technician to join their Footwear Testing team a hands-on role where curiosity, precision and a great attitude matter just as much as experience. If you enjoy practical work, like seeing how things are built and want a career where no two days are quite the same, this could be the perfect fit. Dont worry if youre new to lab work full training is provided . What Youll Be Doing Youll be based in a physical testing laboratory , getting involved in the real nuts and bolts of footwear testing. Day-to-day, youll: Test footwear, materials and components using specialist laboratory equipment Follow health 'safety procedures and recognised test methods Produce clear, accurate results (the details really matter here!) Help keep the lab and stores organised, safe and running smoothly Get involved in continuous improvement your ideas are welcome Work to UKAS standards, including maintaining your training records Be part of a supportive, close-knit laboratory team Who Were Looking For You dont need years of experience what were really looking for is the right attitude . Youll ideally have: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science (NVQ Level 3) Basic IT skills (Word and Excel) A great eye for detail and pride in doing things properly Good organisation and time management skills The ability to work independently and as part of a team A flexible, hands-on, lets get it done approach Bonus points if you have: Experience in a test laboratory Knowledge of footwear construction or materials but these are nice to have, not essential .
