Job Description Civil Engineer | KetteringIm supporting a respected engineering consultancy in Kettering that is looking to strengthen its civil engineering capability due to a growing workload.The team delivers infrastructure design for projects across the UK, covering residential developments, education facilities and commercial schemes. Project sizes vary from smaller bespoke sites through to large multi phase developments, offering strong exposure and technical variety.This position would suit an engineer who enjoys development infrastructure work and wants to be involved from early concept through to delivery.What youll be doingYoull be part of a collaborative civils team supporting the technical delivery of schemes, including:Developing infrastructure designs including highways, drainage and earthworksProducing calculations, design reports and technical documentationPreparing drawings and models using industry standard softwareSupporting project delivery through coordination with clients, contractors and consultantsMaintaining high standards in design outputs and technical documentationAttending site visits and assisting with surveys where requiredExposure to a range of software : AutoCAD, Vehicle Tracking, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage & PDSWhat theyre looking forUnderstanding of highways and drainage design, flood risk and utilities coordinationAwareness of relevant design standards and CDM regulationsStrong organisation skills and attention to detailConfident communicator with a proactive approachAbility to work both independently and within a teamFull UK driving licenceWhat's on offerCompetitive salary and benefits packageClear progression pathway within a growing, privately owned consultancyExposure to a wide variety of residential, education and commercial schemesSupport towards professional development and ChartershipOngoing training and development, both technical and soft skillsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and technically strong environment, working on varied development infrastructure projects with clear scope for progression.If youre based within reach of Kettering and open to hearing more, feel free to get in touch.
