Certification Assessor PPE Location: Kettering, UK Salary: Up to 29,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: 37.5 hours per week The Opportunity Our client is currently recruiting for a Certification Assessor to join their established PPE Certification team . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background and strong attention to detail to build a career within a regulated, internationally recognised certification environment. Youll be part of a global team spanning the UK, Ireland, Europe and Asia, playing a key role in ensuring personal protective equipment meets strict UK and EU regulatory requirements. About the Role Reporting to the Team Leader and working closely with colleagues across the certification and quality functions, your role will focus on the technical assessment and certification of PPE products. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out certification assessments of PPE products in line with relevant standards and UK/EU PPE Regulations Interpreting PPE performance standards and regulatory requirements Reviewing technical documentation and preparing draft certificates Communicating clearly with clients, explaining certification processes, requirements and progress updates Liaising with internal teams to ensure assessments are completed accurately and on time Attending external technical meetings and contributing to standardisation committees where required About You Essential Requirements A broad technical background with the ability to understand and interpret technical information High levels of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work on your own initiative with enthusiasm and a proactive approach Logical, methodical working style Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team Previous experience working with customers or stakeholders Strong organisational, communication, time and project management skills Competent using Microsoft Office packages Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and overseas when required Desirable A science-based degree or equivalent qualification Experience working in a test laboratory or regulated technical environment Knowledge of the PPE industry Understanding of European legislation relating to CE marking Experience of working in manufacturing, testing, certification or supply chain environments Additional language skills Benefits 2530 days annual leave (service related) Life assurance Group personal pension plan Income protection Free on-site parking Flexible working hours If youre looking to develop your career within certification, compliance and product safety, wed love to hear from you.
