Are you an organised and detail-oriented finance professional looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a well-established business based in Kettering, is seeking a Senior Accounts Lead to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, youll play a key part in supporting day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Be accountable for client tasks and the delivery of scheduled reports. Support the development of strong client relationships by providing a high level of service and satisfaction. Ensure all activities are conducted in line with required compliance timelines. Initiate and lead improvements in processes and overall team performance. Take ownership of maintaining and delivering relevant training and development. Offer both technical knowledge and professional guidance to support and lead the team. Driving team productivity and ensuring targets are met. Monitoring and enhancing individual team member performance. Coordinating workflows and effectively managing related systems and tools. Provide flexible support to the Director as needed, contributing to broader team objectives. Team lead: Support the Director and cover management duties when needed. Lead a team of finance and supply chain professionals. Promote technical and commercial development within the team. Identify and support succession planning opportunities. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new staff. Hold team meetings to share updates and expectations. Encourage upskilling and highlight training needs. Set objectives and carry out regular one-to-one reviews. Monitor performance and ensure accurate timesheet completion. Address absence and performance issues promptly. Communicate regularly to give and receive feedback. Prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines. Core Competencies: Reliable, organised, and methodical. Able to remain calm and focused under pressure. Supportive of colleagues. Must be a team player. Able to inspire and motivate others, and lead by example. Ability to lead, manage, and support a small team. Effective verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally. Good at meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks, and solving problems. Ability to manage a multi-client environment with conflicting deadlines. Wide experience of working in a finance or accounts environment. Good knowledge of various accounting software and Microsoft Office.
