Job Description MIG Welder / FabricatorMonday Friday 8AM - 5PM | 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Salary 33,000 per annum Our client, a well-established and respected engineering business, is seeking an experienced Mild Steel MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work on a variety of interesting projects within a supportive and fast-paced workshop environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on fabricator with a strong eye for detail, a commitment to high-quality workmanship, and the ability to thrive as part of a close-knit team.Key Responsibilities:Carry out high-quality MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel componentsRead and interpret technical drawings, including CAD and Inventor designsSafely operate a range of workshop machinery and tools, including pillar drills, mag drills, bandsaws, angle grinders, ironworkers, and guillotinesAccurately measure, cut, and assemble materials in line with specificationsPerform quality checks to ensure all work meets required standardsMaintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environmentSupport general workshop upkeep and housekeepingCollaborate effectively with colleagues to meet production deadlinesAssist with assembly tasks, including bolting and paintingLoad and unload steelwork for deliveries to and from the yardRequirements:Proven experience in MIG welding and mild steel fabricationAbility to confidently read and interpret CAD and Inventor drawingsStrong competence in using workshop tools and machineryExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a team-oriented approachDesirable:NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Welding, Fabrication, or a related fieldWhats on Offer:Competitive salary, dependent on experienceOpportunity to work on varied and engaging projectsSupportive and collaborative team environmentStable 18-month contract with a reputable employerIf youre a motivated and skilled fabricator looking for your next contract opportunity, we would be keen to hear from you, apply today to discuss with Gabriella Saunders from ACS Staffing Solutions!JBRP1_UKTJ
