Job Description ROLE: Operations DirectorLOCATION: NorthamptonshireHOURS OF WORK:BASIC SALARY:90K - 100K per annumBENEFITS:Electric company carPerformance bonus up to 40% of salaryPrivate healthcare25 days holiday plus statutory holidaysRole Overview You will be joining a well-established company who are looking to further their growth and develop their position within the market. The Operations Director ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and profitably while maintaining the highest standards of build quality and client satisfaction. A key focus of the role is scaling operational capacity, strengthening governance, optimising workflows and delivering improved margins through operational excellence and effective leadership of multidisciplinary teams.Your responsibilities as an Operations Director:Ensure alignment of operational processes, systems and delivery standardsLead multidisciplinary teamsDevelop operational strategies that support growthEstablish strong governance, reporting structures and operational accountability.Protect project margins through effective operational planning.Lead operational performance of workshop and fabrication activitiesImprove production planning, scheduling and material utilisation.Implement continuous improvement and lean workflow practices.Maintain high standards of build quality and technical execution.Develop scalable production and installation capability aligned with business growth.Ensure facilities support fabrication, storage, logistics and projectsManage maintenance programmes, supplier relationships and facilities budgets.Plan operational infrastructure improvements aligned with growth across divisions.Ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations.Implement robust risk assessment, RAMS and incident management procedures.Promote a proactive safety culture across operations.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencyImplement systems and processes to reduce waste and enhance profitability.Strengthen cost control across labour, materials, logistics and subcontractor use.Introduce operational reporting and KPI tracking to improve performance visibility.Align operational capacity with sales forecasts and pipeline across both divisions.Manage resources effectively during peak timesTo be successful as an Operations Director you will have:Must have experience in a Retail Fit out / commercial interiors industry. With proven experience of production led construction.Experience managing multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated success improving operational efficiency and margins.Strong leadership capability and commercial awareness.Demonstrated competence with technical projects/processesSoftware/System scoping and implementation experienceExperience managing operational risk and governance.If you have the relevant experience our client is looking for in this Operations Director role, we would like to hear from you.
