This growth creates a fantastic opportunity for a Senior QS to join their commercial team, with genuine scope for future career progression as the company continues to expand.What You'll Be Doing:Taking full commercial leadership on a variety of projects from inception through to final account. This could range from a high-specification new build to a complex, live environment refurbishment in a hospital or school.Managing all aspects of the subcontracting process, from procurement and negotiation to final account settlement.Preparing, submitting, and agreeing monthly valuations, variations, and detailed cost reports.Working closely with project and site management teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, without compromising on quality.Providing mentorship and guidance to junior members of the commercial team.Fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain.What We're Looking For:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ready to take the next step or currently in a Senior QS role.A background with a UK main contractor is essential.Experience in either commercial construction (e.g., healthcare, education, fit-out) or residential development. Candidates with a diverse project history are highly encouraged to apply.Strong knowledge of various contract forms (e.g., JCT, D&B).Excellent negotiation, communication, and financial management skills.A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.A relevant degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.Why Join?This is a chance to move beyond being just a number in a large corporation.
