Clerk of Works (Repairs & Maintenance) INTERIMReports to: Reactive Works Team LeaderLocation (Office / Remote) KENT : Flexible Day RateROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS A working knowledge of building maintenance and contracting relationships A good working knowledge of building defects and how to identify the best repair options A through understanding of the causes and remedies of dampness in buildings Sound understanding of compliance with statutory landlord obligations and associated legislation in particular the Decent Homes Standard Able to oversee work contractors work to achieve good quality work to time and budget Knowledge of building standards and producing technical specifications for works Knowledge of Asbestos, Electrical and Gas safety regulations Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety standards in particular the revised CDM 2015 regulations An understanding of current procurement processes and regulations Principles of Risk Assessments and Method Statements and their role in Repairs and MaintenanceQualification HNC/HND in Building Surveying or other relevant construction management qualification Full driving license
