The team has a multi-dimensional impact, from helping avoid legal exposure to collaborating with other functions to develop cutting-edge new products.AIGs Global Specialty legal team is responsible for providing legal support for insurance legal matters for our Global Specialty lines of business, specifically Marine, Aviation, Energy, Construction, and Credit Lines. You will report to the Global Head of Specialty Legal for AIG and will partner with the Specialty business units based in the UK as well as internationally. The role will provide comprehensive support for insurance legal matters and involve high-level advisory responsibilities, ensuring that legal operations align with business strategies and compliance requirements.How You Will Create An ImpactAct as the main point of contact for the London-based Specialty business leadership on legal matters involving the specialty businesses and assist them in executing on compliant strategies to achieve their business objectives;Anticipate and advise on a wide variety of legal risks associated with AIGs Specialty operations;Draft and review various types of agreements, including DUA, TOBAs, Facility Agreements, Claims Handling Agreements and Binding Agreements;Advise on product-related legal matters, including ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;Provide advice on agency and other distribution issues, remuneration structures and associated areas of law.What Youll Need To SucceedA qualified lawyer in good standing with a minimum 5-7 years of legal experience with a major law firm or a global insurer;Hands-on experience managing and supporting business clients on global, specialty, or international insurance and reinsurance legal and regulatory matters;Strong organizational skills;Ability to be a self-starter and work independently;Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration.At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
