Deputy Childrens Home Manager (Therapeutic) Kendal Location: Kendal (LA9) Salary: 35,631.96 - 37,112.40 per annum (17.57 18.30 per hour) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pmPlease read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Deputy Manager to join a therapeutic residential children's home in Kendal, supporting children aged 6-12 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) .This is a unique opportunity to join a small, supportive team committed to delivering outstanding care in a therapeutic environment. The home provides a nurturing, structured setting to help children build trust, develop life skills, and work through emotional challenges.Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the homeLead and motivate the care team to deliver high-quality, child-centred therapeutic careContribute to care planning and risk assessments in line with the needs of each individual childProvide leadership, supervision, and coaching to the staff teamEnsure compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards of careMaintain a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, physically, and sociallyRequirements: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) essentialMinimum 1 years experience at Senior or Team Leader level within a residential childcare settingPrevious experience as a Deputy Manager is preferred but not essentialA genuine passion for supporting children with EBD in a therapeutic settingFull UK driving licence essentialMust be aged 21+ (in line with childrens residential care regulations)Must have the right to work in the UKPlease clearly state your qualification level on your CV.Whats on Offer: Competitive salary and enhanced pay scales that recognise qualifications and experienceFully funded training and qualificationsFull induction and ongoing development supportEnhanced company maternity & paternity payFree meals during shiftsLife assurance and NEST pension schemeEnhanced DBS check paid for by the employer28 days annual leaveAbout You: We are looking for someone who is naturally caring, flexible, and resilient, with a strong commitment to helping children heal, grow, and achieve positive outcomes.
