3.5 Tonne Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for 3.5 Tonne Driver roles based in Kelso, Scottish Borders . Shifts Monday to Friday start times between 04:30 and 07:00 Rates of Pay 12.21 per hour Benefits Ongoing work Weekly pay Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Guaranteed minimum 50 hours'' pay per week (even if routes finish early) Progression opportunity to Team Leader for candidates with 7.5T experience Day-to-Day Duties Carrying out multi-drop deliveries (2025 drops per day) Loading and unloading boxes and packages Loading the vehicle for the following day''s routes Ensuring all loads are safe and secure Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults Operating a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van safely and efficiently Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations Adhering to food hygiene regulations while transporting food Monitoring and maintaining correct refrigeration unit temperatures Essential Skills Previous multi-drop experience (preferred) Valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years (some points considered) Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues Good understanding of road networks and navigational tools Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative Must undergo a DS/DBS check (good repute required) Desirable Experience Experience driving commercial vehicles Basic food hygiene knowledge (training provided) Training Provided Internal food hygiene training Vehicle maintenance and safety training Compliance and regulatory training Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
