THE ROLEThis is a full-time on-site role for a Buyer (Chemicals), located in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Buyer (Chemicals) will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing chemicals, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Other responsibilities include analysing market trends, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards, and collaborating with internal teams to meet production needs.SKILLS Experience in sourcing and purchasing chemicals and raw materialsStrong negotiation and contract management skillsProficiency in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely deliveryAbility to analyse market trends and make informed purchasing decisionsUnderstanding of environmental and safety compliance standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in using procurement software and toolsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldExperience in the chemical industry is a plusCIPS L4+
