Job Description Job Title: Environmental & Sustainability ManagerLocation: Sizewell C, IpswichSalary: 50 - 57k + car allowance & benefits About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Environmental & Sustainability Manager to join the high profile Sizewell development in Ipswich. This pivotal role will see you overseeing and improving environmental and sustainability (E&S) performance across multiple projects, driving innovation, and supporting the development and implementation of the wider business strategy.You will be responsible for producing and reviewing project-specific environmental documentation, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, liaising with clients and statutory bodies, auditing and reporting environmental performance, and providing technical advice on environmental challenges. You will also lead the implementation of environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives, supporting project teams and the supply chain to meet ethical, sustainable, and carbon-conscious objectives.Key Responsibilities:Produce and review project-specific environmental documentationMaintain permits and licences (e.g., Section 61) and ensure complianceEnsure projects understand and meet client sustainability requirementsAudit, analyse, and report environmental performance internally and externallySupport sites with material management plans for reuse and disposalProvide technical advice and solutions for environmental challengesConduct environmental incident investigations where necessaryAssist in implementing EMS/EnMS and ensure project complianceDeliver environmental and sustainability training to teams and supply chainsSupport sustainable procurement initiatives and carbon reduction effortsCollaborate across projects to embed E&S considerations in business strategySkills & Experience:Professional membership of a recognised environmental organisation (e.g., IEMA)Relevant Environmental or Sustainability qualificationISO 14001 / 50001 auditor training (lead auditor preferable)Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, guidelines, and formal auditingExperience embedding environmental and sustainability considerations across projectsProven experience maintaining records and documentation systemsProficient in Microsoft Office and other IT or bespoke packagesExceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environmentAbility to integrate and collaborate effectively with construction and project teamsPositive attitude and proactive approachFull driving licence and availability to travelTo be considered for this role please apply with your CV or for more information please contact Jenny Saban in our Cambridge office JBRP1_UKTJ
