Community Immunisation Administrator (Suffolk and North East Essex)This role will be to provide administrative support to Suffolk and North East Essex Community and School Aged Immunisation Service who provide a variety of immunisations across the area of Suffolk and North East Essex in a variety of venues across all age ranges. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to support in community clinics and in school sessions across Suffolk and North East Essex as well as working in the office base to provide administrative support to the planning and management of school and clinic vaccination clinics. There will also be telephone queries and clinic bookings from a variety of service users. *Proposed interview date: 04-August-2025* Main duties of the jobThe ideal candidates will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with a desire to improve the health and wellbeing of communities by supporting the delivery of a variety of vaccinations. The roles involve administration and supporting the immunisation team across a range of administrative tasks in a variety of community clinics including schools, and office environments. Ideally you will have experience of working with a variety of ages, and experience of working in a health care setting is useful.You will have excellent communication skills both spoken and written and be able to establish good working relationships with a wide range of children and adults. You will be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel applications. The ability to organise and plan your workload is essential alongside accuracy and a good eye for detail. Experience of working with Systmone electronic health records would be an advantage . A full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). Job responsibilitiesSupport the clinicians in the clinic setting to ensure a high-quality delivery of service to all that we see. Be able to utilise administrative skills and ensure work is prioritised effectively. Ensure that the confidentiality of service user information is always maintained in line with Trust policy. Liaise with external stakeholders, manage referrals, update patient records. Demonstrate excellent communication skills within a variety of settings to a diverse demographic. Participate in the planning and scheduling of clinics, liaising with venues and managing stock levels. Person SpecificationQualifications/EducationNVQ 2 or equivalent in Business Administration or equivalent experience Willingness to undertake further Trust training. Experience & KnowledgeIT literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Good written and oral communication skills to enable engagement with a range of service users and partners. Experience of working with families, children and babies Previous experience of Child Health systems Previous administrative work within the NHS Skills & AbilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality Ability to work without direct supervision Competent and appropriate use of electronic patient records.
