SHYU socks is seeking a runner-obsessed, data-driven, creatively minded Marketing & Customer Experience Executive to help shape the future of one of the most disruptive brands in running.This is not a typical marketing role. You’ll be joining a four-year-old start-up with fewer than five employees, meaning ownership, responsibility, and impact from day one.This marketing-led role focuses on driving brand growth, community engagement, and exceptional customer experience. You’ll think strategically about expanding SHYUs global runner community while executing structured, innovative campaigns with one clear goal: getting more SHYUs on feet.About SHYUSHYU is a fast-growing performance running sock brand, obsessed with innovation, product, and the global running community. We sell direct-to-runners and through specialty running retailers worldwide, constantly releasing products that excite and perform at the highest level.The RoleReporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll support the execution of global campaigns across digital, partnerships, retail marketing, and events. You’ll play a key role in bringing the global marketing to life, ensuring brand presence is consistent and impactful across every touchpoint.This role requires a strong visual and creative skill set. You’ll confidently bring campaigns to life through thoughtful design using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, with a sharp eye for layout, typography, and brand consistency, ensuring all creative feels premium, performance-led, and unmistakably SHYU.You’ll also help enhance the customer experience, ensuring every interaction with our community is smooth, engaging, and on-brand.As SHYU continues to scale with triple-digit year-on-year growth, this role will evolve quickly. You’ll start by executing campaigns directly, then grow alongside the business, identifying opportunities to strengthen brand presence, engagement, and performance globally.While this is a marketing-led role at its core, you’ll also have opportunities to support customer experience, operations, and events. You’ll be comfortable leaning in when needed in a fast-moving environment.What You’ll DoDigital Marketing & ContentLaunch and optimise campaigns across Meta, TikTok, email, and other paid channelsMonitor performance and optimise campaigns in real time by region and platformManage social media copy and maintain a content calendar across activationsCreate static ad assets and supporting copyCollaborate with freelancers and agenciesReport on performance and measure campaign ROILaunch & Campaign ExecutionSupport frequent product drops and global campaigns across email, social, and paid mediaEnsure creative and messaging alignment across global marketsAdapt campaigns for local audiences while maintaining brand consistencyBring product stories to life through fit, fabric, testing insights, and athlete feedbackCreative & Brand StorytellingDesign high-quality digital assets for social, email, web, and paid campaigns using Adobe Creative Suite and CanvaAssist with copywriting for campaigns, launches, and product pagesEnsure all brand storytelling is performance-focused, authentic, and runner-ledContribute creative ideas for our sponsored athletes, ambassadors, and seeding categories, as well as supporting athlete shoots and broader content activationsAthlete, Influencer & Community PartnershipsSupport relationships with athletes, ambassadors, and influencers globallyCoordinate product seeding, and launch contentIdentify emerging voices and talent within the global running communityRetail & Customer EngagementSupport specialty retail partners with co-marketing campaigns and activationsCreate marketing assets for POS and digital Respond to customer queries and community engagement across platformsOperational & Event SupportAssist with inventory, packaging, and order dispatch during peak periodsSupport events, activations, and in-person brand experiencesLiaise with suppliers and support basic operational coordination when requiredStart-up Life at SHYUStart-up life means wearing multiple hats (and SHYUs). One day you might be concepting a campaign, the next supporting a content shoot, responding to customer emails, or helping with order fulfilment. We’re looking for someone comfortable with ownership, ambiguity, momentum, and delivering results.What We’re Looking For2–4 years of professional marketing or brand experience (fashion, retail, or FMCG preferred)Experience executing cross-channel marketing campaignsExperience with social, email, and paid channels (Meta and/or TikTok)Passion for content — creating it, consuming it, and executing when it countsConfident graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite and CanvaStrong copywriting and communication skillsSolid analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance dataStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesA genuine passion for running, performance, and productBonus Points if you also have:Experience with Google Ads or additional paid media platformsBackground working with athletes, ambassadors, or influencersFamiliarity with Shopify and email platforms such as Klaviyo or MailchimpExperience supporting retail marketing or specialty retail partnersComfort supporting operational tasks, events, or logisticsExperience working remotelyLocation & FlexibilityThis role is full-time, reporting to our Australian based Head of Marketing. However, we operate globally, work flexibly, and are looking to add to our UK team. The role also includes opportunities for international travel to World Marathon Majors, including Sydney, New York, Tokyo, London, and Valencia.
