Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer - Interim (Maternity Cover)Panoramic Associates are supporting a public sector client who are seeking an experienced Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their team on an interim basis. This is a maternity cover post, initially for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to extend up to 12 months.The role will involve:Drafting and reviewing a high volume of complex, non-template commercial contractsPreparing and advising on grant agreements, deeds of variation, and demand letters for breachesProviding procurement support and contract management reportingSupporting large-scale projects from inception to completionActing as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and trust throughout project deliveryEssential skills:Strong experience handling commercial contracts (local government sector experience highly desirable)Solid understanding of procurement processes and requirementsConfident communicator with excellent reporting skillsCommercially astute, able to work on non-standard and complex agreementsDesirable skills:Experience supporting large-scale capital projectsKnowledge of local government governance and proceduresKey details:Rate: Up to £45 per hourLocation: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings if preferred (not mandatory)Hours: Full-timeContract length: 3 months minimum, with scope to extend to 12 monthsStart date: Mid-OctoberWe're looking for someone with a positive, outcome-driven attitude who can manage sensitive client relationships with professionalism.
