Manager Civil Engineering Location: Ilkeston Salary: 40k - 60k DOE We are seeking an experienced Manager Civil Engineering to lead a busy steel and pipe fabrication facility. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise fabrication projects, including workforce planning. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and BS EN 1090 standards. Liaise effectively with clients and internal operations teams. Monitor quality, health and safety performance; deliver toolbox talks as required. Maintain accurate daily fabrication diaries and support issue resolution. Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and strong housekeeping standards. Required Experience & Skills HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years experience in engineering management within fabrication. Proven leadership experience in steel and pipe fabrication. Successful track record delivering projects on time and within budget. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and complete site surveys. Experience producing risk assessments, method statements and accurate reports. Commercial awareness and strong problem-solving ability. Effective communicator with strong leadership and team management skills. IT literate; experience with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
