Job Title: Chef / Catering Manager Salary: (34,11844,703 per annum, depending) Hours: Flexible Hour Location: Ilford Reports to: Operations Lead Start: November 2025 About the role Complete classroom services are seeking a Chef / Catering Manager to lead and manage the academys dining provision across both the primary and secondary phases. The successful candidate will ensure that, within the Catering Policy and Budget, resources are used efficiently, and the quality of food and hospitality is outstanding. You will be part of a committed staff team, with the opportunity to develop your career through our professional development programme and collaborate with colleagues across the network to share best practice. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the academys catering operations across all phases. Plan, prepare, and deliver nutritious meals in line with healthy eating guidelines. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring value for money and efficient resource use. Cater for a culturally diverse student population, accommodating dietary preferences and allergies. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations. Supervise catering staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management. Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, organisation, and presentation. Collaborate with school leadership to support school events and special functions. The Successful Candidate Will Have: Experience of catering in large quantities, ideally in a school or education setting. Budget management experience. Knowledge of dietary requirements, healthy eating, and menu planning. Experience of working with children and understanding of school routines. Relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene qualifications. Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate a team. Why Work with Us?
