Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Deputy Manager Childrens Residential HomeLocation: ilfordSalary: 32,000 40,000 (depending on experience)Full-time | PermanentWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our childrens residential home team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential childcare who is ready to support the Registered Manager in delivering high standards of care and helping young people reach their full potential.About the role:As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home. You will provide leadership to the staff team, support in implementing care plans, and help create a positive and safe environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).Key responsibilities:Support the Registered Manager in achieving compliance with Ofsted standards and regulationsLead, mentor, and supervise care staffEnsure individualised care plans and risk assessments are followed and reviewed regularlyAssist in rota management, recruitment, and trainingAct as the responsible person in the absence of the Registered ManagerPromote safeguarding and child protection throughout the serviceBuild positive relationships with children, staff, families, and external agenciesRequirements:Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards itAt least 2 years' experience in a senior or supervisory role within a childrens residential settingKnowledge of Ofsted inspections and Childrens Homes Regulations 2015Excellent communication and leadership skillsPassionate about improving outcomes for children and young peopleFull UK driving licence (preferred)What we offer:Supportive management and ongoing training opportunitiesClear progression path towards Registered Manager rolesCompetitive salary and holiday packageA positive and rewarding working environment
