Were recruiting for a Site Maintenance Manager to oversee a busy timber processing site in Humbie, East Lothian a key leadership role with real impact and autonomy. About the Role As Site Maintenance Manager, youll take full responsibility for all mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance across the site. Youll lead a skilled team of fitters and electricians, ensuring plant reliability, efficiency, and safety while driving continuous improvement and cost control. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Maintenance team to deliver high performance and reliability. Manage all maintenance, asset management, and site engineering activities. Oversee preventive and condition-based maintenance through a CMMS system. Ensure all work meets strict Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Plan and deliver maintenance strategies to maximise uptime and reduce downtime. Manage maintenance budgets, energy use, and project delivery. Drive continuous improvement using Lean and TPM principles. Partner with Operations to achieve site KPIs and strategic goals. Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. About You Degree or qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent experience. At least 10 years experience in maintenance or engineering management, ideally in heavy industry or manufacturing. Proven success leading teams and driving performance improvements. Strong technical understanding of maintenance systems and reliability engineering. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Passionate about safety, efficiency, and developing people Having a drivers licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to the location and shift pattern TPBN1_UKTJ
