White Label Recruitment are currently working with a leading Agricultural engineering manufacturer on their recruitment of a Sales Manager. ________________________________________ The Opportunity This is a rare chance to take ownership of and redefine a sales department that is already well-regarded but currently operates in a highly reactive way. You will manage an experienced International Sales Manager (currently handling 90% of enquiries) and bring strategic, proactive sales growth to the business. The role is a mix of office-based account management (approx. 60%) and travel (approx. 40%) to meet dealers, OEMs, and distributors, as well as attending exhibitions. Overseas travel will typically be 23 times a year to key markets such as Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, and North America. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage the International Sales Manager to optimise departmental efficiency. Handle and allocate incoming enquiries (phone, web, and email) from global customers. Develop and implement proactive sales strategies to drive growth in key markets. Maintain and grow relationships with OEMs, dealerships, and distributors. Visit UK tractor dealerships to promote availability and benefits of the product range. Attend domestic and international exhibitions to generate new business opportunities. Oversee quotation processes, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customers. Collaborate with engineering teams for technical specifications and solutions. Monitor sales performance, report to the director, and recommend improvements. ________________________________________ Person Specification Essential: Proven track record in sales and account management within the agricultural sector Experience in managing and developing a sales function. Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills. Commercial acumen with the ability to spot market opportunities. Confident communicator, both in-person and remotely. UK-based and able to travel nationally and internationally as required. Desirable: Background with tractor brands (e.g., John Deere, Case, Landini) or agricultural equipment dealerships. Experience selling to OEMs and dealerships. Language skills, particularly Polish, due to its significance as a key market. ________________________________________ Package & Benefits Salary: 30,000 45,000 (up to 50,000 for exceptional candidates). Performance-related bonus scheme. Company car or car allowance (to be discussed). 28 days holiday (including bank holidays). Standard pension scheme. Healthcare available after qualifying period.
