Electrical Design Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking design team, where youll contribute to the development and continuous improvement of bespoke electrical systems for a range of complex build projects. The role offers variety, technical challenge, and a platform for long-term progression within a business known for innovation and investment in its people.Key Responsibilities:Produce 2D wiring diagrams, 3D layouts, and assembly drawingsCreate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)Work from job specs to develop electrical systems for build and assemblyEnsure all designs align with internal standards and regulatory guidelinesLiaise with production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure smooth project flowSupport drawing updates for continuous improvement and product developmentAssist during live production to clarify design intent and resolve issuesKey Requirements:35 years experience in an electrical design role (ideally within a manufacturing or assembly environment)Proficiency with AutoCAD 2021Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCADStrong understanding of electrical principles and system designExcellent communicator and confident working cross-functionallyHighly organised, with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneouslyWorking knowledge of Health & Safety and relevant compliance requirementsSalary & Benefits:Circa £40,000 depending on experience40-hour working week (MondayFriday, days)32 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Free parking Join a supportive and collaborative team where you'll work on varied and technically engaging projects.
