ROLE – Mechanical Fitter SALARY - £30,000- £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) TYPE - Permanent LOCATION – Huddersfield My client provides bespoke products and engineering solutions for the Automotive industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Huddersfield area on a permanent basis. The Mechanical Fitter will ideally have the following attributes:HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar4 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a hands-on manufacture/assembly roleExperience working with CNC, milling and turning machinery would also be beneficialExperience working with Gearboxes, valves, compressors, enclosures, conveyors, and piping systems, machineryAble to read and work to technical drawingsExcellent proficiency with CAD software – ideally SolidWorks or similarBasic understanding of electrical systemsGood mathematical and general engineering knowledgeExcellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining etc.Be technically minded and proactive, with a head for problem solvingSelf-motivated with excellent attention to detailHave excellent communication skills both verbal and written The Mechanical Fitter role will involve:Mechanical assembly of various productsWorking to company standards for test and repairMaintaining equipment and machineryWorking on industrial components: gearboxes, valves, compressors, enclosures, conveyors, and piping systems, machineryPerforming development activities and finding new mechanical solutionsPerforming assembly and disassembly tasksBeing involved in the product design and development process using CADProducing the relevant documentation that is requiredDriving continuous improvement If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.For more information about this role please apply, or email Toby Illingworth on who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.
