Join a Leading Organisation in the Nuclear Industry.Role details:As an EC & I Designer, you will take ownership and responsibility for the execution of all assigned work , to deliver fit for purpose , practical engineering design in line with specification, budget and programme.In this role, you will actively support and promote all company and Client site directives HSEQ, best practice, innovations and continual improvement.You will foster and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and maintain up to date knowledge and competence to support the role and to align to clients and industries requirements and directives.Key Responsibilities:Produce new and update existing detailed EC&I design documentation; typically - loop diagrams, control panel schematics, field connection diagrams, I/O schedules, control circuits, failsafe circuits, LV power distribution & protection, single line diagrams, control panel GAs and layouts, instrument air distribution and control, instrument air system layouts, instrumentation hook-ups, functional testing proceduresComply with both national and site standardsCarry out site surveysCompile document work packsComply with company and site procedures; typically Engineering design, project control, documentation control, procurement, verificationSupport other activities; typically estimating, commissioning, hand-over, procurementContribute to team(s) to support continual improvementWork independently, using own initiativeKey Requirements:Essential:ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Control / Instrumentation / Engineering disciplineDesirable:HSEQ qualification (i.e. IOSH)CompEx ExF (foundation), EXF+ (foundation plus) or Ex01-04 (Gas & Vapours), Ex05-06 (Dust), or Ex12 (Application Design Engineers)Functional Safety, IEC61508 TUV or equivalentBS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations - C&G2382-15 or equivalentCDM regulations5 years recent experience in an equivalent roleIndustrial sector EngineeringEC&I Engineering documentation loop diagrams, control panel schematics, field connection diagrams, I/O schedules, control circuits, failsafe circuits, LV power distribution & protection, single line diagrams, control panel GAs and layouts, instrument air distribution and control, instrument air system layouts, instrumentation hook-ups, functional testing proceduresStrong PC skills AutoCAD, MS Office, drafting tools, document databases, specialist Engineering design tools.Why Join Us?Work on high-impact projects within a leading organisation at the forefront of the industry.Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a focus on innovation and excellence.
