Senior Planning Officer

Job Description This is a great opportunity for an experienced Planning Officer to join an expanding in-house Planning team. This team supports a diverse portfolio of major capital and infrastructure projects.As a Planning Officer you will be working on a variety of large-scale programmes, ensuring the effective use of permitted development rights and securing planning consents in line with Town and Country Planning legislation.Key responsibilities include:Deliver planning consents for capital and infrastructure projectsIdentify and maximise permitted development opportunitiesAdvise project teams on planning and regulatory requirementsDevelop planning and consultation strategies for projectsWork closely with communications teams on stakeholder engagement and consultationBuild strong relationships with local planning authorities and key stakeholdersSkills and experience:Strong understanding of UK planning legislationExcellent Communication skillsThe ability to manage staff and consultanciesStakeholder management experienceKnowledge of environmental initiatives such as biodiversity net gainExcellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skillsThis role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on major infrastructure programmes while developing your career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
