About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UKs leading independent training, conference, and event centres. Nestled within 40 acres of beautiful grounds, the venue features 60 bedrooms, 22 training and meeting rooms, a restaurant, bars, and leisure facilities. Operating much like a hotel but with a truly personal touch the centre is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and high standards. The kitchen team delivers a varied and creative culinary experience, serving everything from fine dining and buffets to hearty breakfasts, outdoor BBQs, relaxed lunches, and bespoke private events. As an independent venue, the team enjoys the freedom to design and cook fresh, exciting dishes with style and flair. Due to continued growth, the centre is now looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and eager to grow and develop within a supportive environment. Key Details Flexible 40-hour week (pro rata), including split shifts, earlies, and lates Competitive benefits package and a positive work-life balance Duties of a Kitchen Assistant Assisting chefs with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and safe, following food hygiene and safety standards Washing, drying, and putting away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Checking and storing deliveries correctly Ensuring work surfaces, floors, and equipment are sanitised and ready for use Supporting the team during busy service times Carrying out any other reasonable tasks to help the smooth running of the kitchen Whats on Offer 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + 3 discretionary days between Christmas & New Year Christmas & New Year off Flexible rotas planned in advance (you wont work every weekend!)
