We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing consultancy to find a skilled Resourcing / Recruitment Manager. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring the business has access to the right talent—both permanent and contract—to meet project and internal resource needs. You’ll manage resourcing strategies, support recruitment across a variety of functions, and implement direct sourcing methods to enhance efficiency and reduce reliance on third-party agencies.Key ResponsibilitiesResource Planning & AllocationOversee day-to-day resource assignments across client-facing and internal teams.Keep resourcing data current to enable accurate forecasting and workforce planning.Collaborate with teams across delivery, client success, and growth to forecast future requirements.Support onboarding for both permanent employees and contract associates.Recruitment ManagementLead the full recruitment cycle for both permanent and contract roles.Partner with hiring leads to define job specs and navigate internal approvals.Maintain up-to-date role documentation to ensure recruitment readiness.Build and maintain a strong direct sourcing model (e.g. LinkedIn, job boards, referrals).Manage relationships with recruitment agencies on an established PSL.Create and maintain a pipeline of skilled consultants across core disciplines.Subcontractor ManagementMaintain ongoing relationships with freelance consultants and subcontracting partners.Negotiate commercial terms and ensure performance and compliance standards are met.Conduct regular reviews of contractor delivery with internal stakeholders.Processes & SystemsOwn and refine recruitment and resourcing systems and tools (e.g. ATS, planning platforms).Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and IR35 regulations.Produce routine reports on utilisation, recruitment metrics, and pipeline analytics.Employer Brand & Candidate ExperienceChampion an attractive employer brand in the market.Deliver a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring and onboarding lifecycle.Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all resourcing initiatives.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong background in resourcing or recruitment management, ideally in consultancy or professional services.In-depth understanding of the UK recruitment market, particularly contractor engagement and IR35.Proven success in managing agency relationships and developing direct hiring channels.Skilled in stakeholder engagement and balancing multiple recruitment priorities.Proficiency in resourcing tools and applicant tracking systems.Knowledge of UK employment law and GDPR compliance.Data-driven with an analytical mindset and a proactive approach to process improvement.DesirablePrior experience in a small or mid-sized business environment.Familiarity with consulting services or working within a consulting model.Experience implementing or enhancing resourcing technologies.Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid - 3 Days per week)
