About the Company: We’re supporting a leading EPIC contractor in the process control sector, delivering detailed design packages for gas transmission site upgrades across Norfolk, Lincolnshire, and Scotland.About the Role: They’re looking for a Contract C&I Design Engineer to support key projects as a remote-based technical lead, with very occasional site or office attendance.Responsibilities:Lead C&I design work for gas transmission upgrade projectsProduce and review key documentation (FDS, DDS, C&E, loop diagrams, etc.)Act as technical interface with the client and stakeholdersSupport compliance with IEC 61511 and functional safety lifecycleContribute to control system hardware/software designCollaborate across multi-discipline teams for successful deliveryQualifications:Background in process control/instrumentation – oil & gas or gas transmissionFamiliarity with turbine or compression systemsKnowledge of functional safety (IEC 61511)Experienced with system design documentationHardware/software control system design understandingConfident in client-facing technical lead rolesRequired Skills: Remote-based (occasional travel for site visits or Norwich office meetings)Preferred Skills: Contract outside IR35Pay range and compensation package: UK-based candidates onlyApply now or message Richard Jeffery directly to learn more.
