With continued investment in CNC, grinding, EDM, inspection and heat treatment, we are now expanding our toolmaking and precision engineering team.This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who wants variety, responsibility and the satisfaction of building complex, high-value tooling - not just running production parts.The RoleYou will be involved in the manufacture, fitting, development and maintenance of precision tooling and components, working across multiple departments including CNC milling, EDM, grinding, and bench fitting.Typical work includes:Building and fitting press tools, jigs, fixtures and precision assembliesWorking from engineering drawings, CAD models and customer dataManual machining, precision fitting, spotting and adjustmentSupporting CNC, EDM, surface, cylindrical and jig grinding departmentsTrialling, testing and refining tools to achieve required accuracy and performanceRepairing, modifying and improving existing toolsWorking closely with design, inspection and production teamsYou will be involved in problem-solving, development work and prototype builds, not just routine manufacture. xjdpvnf What Were Looking ForWe are open to a wide range of experience levels, from strong improvers to highly experienced toolmakers.EssentialApprenticeship-trained or time-served Toolmaker / Precision EngineerStrong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancesExperience with manual machining and precision bench fittingAbility to work to tight tolerances and high quality standardsDesirableExperience with press tools, jigs, fixtures or special purpose toolingExposure to EDM, grinding, CNC machining or inspectionExperience working in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or defenceComfortable working on one-off and small-batch precision workMost importantly, we want someone who:Takes pride in their workThinks like an engineer, not just an operatorEnjoys solving technical problemsWhat We Offer35,000 - 50,000 salary depending on experience and capabilityOvertime availablePension scheme25 days holiday (including bank holidays)Long-term, stable employment in a growing companyOpportunity to work on high-end, technically interesting projectsInvestment in modern machines, inspection equipment and toolingFriendly, skilled, multi-disciplinary engineering team
