Start Date: ASAP About the Role: Were seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join the maintenance team at a busy industrial site in Hexham . This is a permanent, full-time position offering stability, excellent earning potential, and long-term career prospects in a well-established manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on plant machinery Diagnosing and repairing faults on equipment such as pumps, conveyors, rollers, and valves Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime Supporting installations and machinery upgrades when required Participating in an on-call rota (weekday cover and 1 in every 5 weekends) Requirements: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Previous experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Must live within 1 hour of Hexham Full UK driving licence and own transport essential Right to work in the UK Desirable: Experience in paper, pulp, or process plant industries Additional safety training (e.g., confined space, lifting operations) Whats on Offer: 38,200 base salary Performance bonus On-call allowance Overtime opportunities PPE and tools provided Long-term role in a supportive and safety-first environment Free on-site parking TPBN1_UKTJ
