Contracts & Tendering Manager Location: Hull (Hybrid) Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Contracts & Tendering Manager to join our team in Hull (hybrid working available) and play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial success. This is a high-visibility opportunity to take ownership of the full tendering and contracting lifecycle within a growing, forward-thinking organisation in the renewable energy sector. About the role: Youll oversee the complete process from initial enquiry through to bid submission, negotiation, award, and operational handover. Your expertise will ensure our bids are competitive, compliant, profitable, and aligned with strategic goals. Youll work cross-functionally with key stakeholders, lead governance around bid decisions, and support business growth through robust commercial processes and risk mitigation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and working at the heart of commercial strategy. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation, review, and submission of tenders, proposals, and bids Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive submissions Support pricing strategy by collaborating with the costing team on models and build-ups Conduct commercial and contractual risk analyses for key tenders Facilitate Bid/No-Bid reviews, pricing meetings, and approval processes Develop and maintain tender documentation, bid libraries, pricing models, and commercial templates Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, subcontracts, and agreements Identify commercial risks and prepare detailed handovers for Operations Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and tender performance Qualifications & Experience: Solid experience in tendering and contract management in a commercial role Direct experience negotiating and closing deals with customers Proven track record leading cross-functional teams through tender and contract negotiations Strong understanding of industrial B2B contract law, procurement, and commercial terms Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills Highly analytical with strong organisational capability Exceptional attention to detail, able to juggle multiple complex bids Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills Previous experience in construction and/or offshore activities (i.e. oil & gas, renewable energy) would be beneficial but not essential.
