As we expand our reach and continue to build our team, we are looking for a passionate Venues Manager to join us on this exciting journey. The Role: We are looking for someone with a keen interest for running and events to join a passionate and growing company. Job description: As Event Venues Manager, you will be working directly with our event management team to deliver cutting-edge and professional mass-participation running events across the UK . You shall complete the daily tasks of event management to include, but not restricted to event planning and documentation, venue management, and ensuring high-standards are maintained in relation to the preparation and delivery of events. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Event Delivery: - Collaborate with the event team to plan and execute events - Assist in setting up, managing, and dismantling event sites, ensuring that all elements meet our high standards. - Support with the delivery of events as a Course team lead on event days - Riding a lead bike ahead of the lead runners on event days - Interacting with the wider running community to enhance reputation and engagement - Active participation in debriefs after events Venue Management: - Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors etc - Create and update event management plans, risk assessments, planning and briefing documents - Complete relevant event applications, e.g. road closure applications - Lead team planning and briefing meetings - Overall responsibility for planning and briefing documents to ensure consistency across the board Person Specification: - The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in live events, an interest in running/sport and be a fast learner. - They will be comfortable speaking to people from different industries, building relationships and developing relationships with new and existing stakeholders.
