We are excited to be supporting a well-established business with a family feel in their modern Ledbury office in their search for an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent, part-time basis.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.Working closely with the Finance Team, you will play a key role in the general running of the department.This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and keen to develop their accounting knowledge within a supportive environmentIdeally, the successful individual will have some accounts/finance knowledge and Microsoft Excel skills, however, full training on the companys processes will be provided.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify and reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentationProcess, code and post purchase invoices to SAP, ensuring correct General Ledger allocationManage the end-to-end purchase ledger cycle, including scanning, filing and maintaining accurate digital recordsSubmit approved invoices for payment in line with company proceduresPrepare and process supplier payment runs, proformas and ad hoc payment requestsAdminister staff expense claims and reimbursements, including petty cash transactionsIssue debit notes where invoice discrepancies arise and actively follow up to resolutionCarry out regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding queriesPerform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and clearing variancesDistribute supplier remittance advices following payment runsOversee shared finance mailboxes, responding promptly to queries and handling payment-related calls professionallyMaintain organised purchase ledger documentation in line with internal controlsProvide general administrative and transactional support xjdpvnf to Finance Managers and the wider accounts teamKey AttributesPurchase ledger/accounts knowledge beneficialOffice experienceExcel skillsTeam playerHours: 21h per week (flexible on days/times)Salary: 13.75ph plus benefits including;Established, friendly, family ethos businessEmployee Assistance Programme22 days holiday, increasing with length of serviceEarly finish on your birthdayTeam Christmas and summer socialsClean, modern working environment with free parkingFree parking
