Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter: Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly duties in line with engineering specifications. Work on site at Faslane on naval and defence-related projects. Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Use appropriate tools and equipment to fit, install, and maintain mechanical systems. Ensure all work is carried out to strict health and safety and quality standards. Collaborate with other trades and engineering staff to meet project deadlines. Essential Skills & Qualifications of the Mechanical Fitter: Security Clearance (SC Cleared) - Mandatory Time-served Mechanical Fitter or equivalent recognised qualification Previous experience working in marine, shipbuilding, defence, or heavy engineering sectors Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and installation methods Ability to work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision Excellent attention to detail and adherence to health and safety procedures This position is advertised by HSB Technical Ltd, an REC-registered recruitment consultancy managing the recruitment process for our client.
