Job Description Senior Estimator Plastering, Drylining & FitOut SpecialistLocation - Hatfield, HertfordshireSalary - 70k - 90k plus packageI'm working on behalf of a wellestablished UK construction contractor that delivers highquality plastering, drylining, screeding, suspended ceilings, steel framing (SFS) and external render solutions across a diverse range of commercial and residential projects from offices and schools to hospitals, hotels and student accommodation.Were now seeking a talented Estimator to strengthen the preconstruction team and help drive continued growth as they secure new opportunities across the UK.The Role:As Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of the business by accurately pricing works and producing competitive tender submissions. Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing and interpreting tender documents, drawings and specificationsPreparing detailed cost plans, material takeoffs and labour estimatesLiaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and analyse competitive quotationsIdentifying risks, opportunities and valueengineering proposalsPresenting clear, commercially sound estimates and recommendations to internal stakeholdersSupporting bid preparation and submission processes to meet tight deadlinesCollaborating closely with project management, operations and commercial functions to ensure smooth transition from tender to deliveryAbout You:To succeed in this role, youll need:Previous experience in a construction estimating or preconstruction role.Ideally you would have experience in the interiors sector.Strong commercial awareness and numerical accuracyThe ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent communication skills with the confidence to engage internal teams and supply chain partnersProficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with estimating software is advantageousA proactive, organised and detailfocused approachSalary & Benefits:Competitive salary (dependant on experience) in line with industry standards.Plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.Why Join?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with a strong pipeline of varied projects and to make a real impact in a commercially important function.
