We’re proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business currently entering an exciting phase of expansion. They’re seeking a dynamic Health & Safety Manager to join their head office in Hastings, with responsibility across two additional UK sites.This strategic role will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee Health & Safety, Facilities, and Estates, ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture and supporting employee wellbeing. You will also manage and develop a Health & Safety Assistant, while leading the wider facilities team.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of contact for all H&S matters across three sitesDevelop, implement, and maintain H&S policies, systems, and compliance recordsAdvise, coach, and train managers and staff on best practice and regulatory requirementsInvestigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actionsLead Safety Committee meetings and provide regular reports to managementConduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvementsOversee Facilities & Estates management, supporting safe and efficient operationsManage and develop a direct report while leading the wider facilities teamKey Skills & ExperienceNEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (essential)Previous Health & Safety management experience within a manufacturing environmentPrevious Facilities & Estates management experienceStrong knowledge of H&S legislation, quality systems, and auditing processesHands-on experience with risk assessments, COSHH, PUWER, Fire Safety, PPE, Safe Systems of Work etc.Confident communicator with the ability to influence and foster a safety-first cultureWhy Apply?Salary up to £55,000 DOE5 weeks holiday + Bupa HealthcareOpportunity to shape H&S strategy during a time of exciting business growthFull-time, permanent role – Monday to Friday, 35 hoursIf you’re a proactive and motivated Health & Safety professional looking to make a real impact within a growing manufacturing organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
