Job Description Technical Sales / Account ManagerHastings | Full Time 38 hours per week30,00040,000 + Commission/BonusAre you a driven sales professional with experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, or a machining/production environment? Do you thrive on building strong customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities?We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Technical Sales Account Manager to manage and develop existing accounts, win new business, and act as the key link between customers and our precision engineering production teams.This role would suit someone with an engineering backgroundwhether through qualifications or hands-on production experiencecombined with a proven track record in sales or account management. A strong technical mindset and the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing solutions are essential.The RoleManage, retain, and grow existing customer accounts within precision engineering sectorsProactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunitiesPrepare, present, and follow up on quotations, negotiating and closing ordersInterpret technical drawings and customer specifications to support accurate quotingLiaise closely with production, planning, and quality teams to ensure successful project deliveryMaintain accurate CRM records and contribute to sales forecasting and reportingRepresent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunitiesWhat Were Looking ForExperience in sales or account management within manufacturing, machining, or engineeringAbility to read and understand technical drawings and machining processes (e.g., CNC, turning, milling)Strong commercial awareness with confident negotiation and closing skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesHighly organised, self-motivated, and target-drivenGood IT skills, including CRM systemsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing precision engineering business where you can make a tangible impact by expanding the customer base and delivering high-quality, technically sound solutions.If youre commercially driven, technically capable, and motivated to exceed targets, wed love to hear from you.
