The fleet supports a mix of local authority and commercial recycling services, helping to reduce landfill and improve environmental outcomes across the region.The Transport Manager will report to the Head of Transport and take ownership of day-to-day standards, driver leadership and full O-Licence responsibility.The RoleYoull be the named Transport Manager with continuous and effective responsibility managing 20-25 HGVs and trailers. You will:Plan and schedule routes to ensure reliable collection and haulage servicesMaintain oversight of inspections, maintenance and MOT complianceLead and support drivers, promoting safe, professional working practicesInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actionsEnsure training, competency and safe systems of work are consistently appliedOur Ideal CandidateIt goes without saying that, as our ideal candidate, you will have your Transport Manager CPC and experience holding an O-License, with a background managing HGV operations (recycling, bulk haulage or similar).
