The Company: MTrec are currently recruiting for a renowned and respected company based in the Hartlepool area. The Role: Carry out precise hand soldering of electronic components onto flexible circuit boards. Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions and work orders. Inspect work during and after soldering to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with IPC or company requirements. Use a variety of tools and equipment such as soldering irons, microscopes, tweezers and rework stations. Perform rework and repair on assemblies when required, ensuring minimal waste and high reliability. Maintain accurate production records and follow company quality procedures. Ensure the work area is kept clean, tidy and compliant with health, safety and ESD (electrostatic discharge) control standards. Collaborate with team members, supervisors and engineers to meet production targets and delivery schedules. The Person: Previous experience in hand soldering or electronic assembly (ideally within PCB or electronics manufacturing). Ability to work under a microscope and handle small components with precision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Understanding of IPC-A-610 standards or similar would be advantageous. Good manual dexterity, steady hand-eye coordination and ability to focus on fine detail. Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
