Job DescriptionSteel DetailerLocation: HarrogateType: Permanent, Full-TimeSalary: 30,000 - 40,000 + Excellent BenefitsSector: structural steel fabrication / constructionSteelwork Detailer Exciting Opportunity with a Specialist Steel ContractorA leading specialist contractor with in-house steelwork capability is seeking an experienced Steelwork Detailer to join their growing technical team. This hands-on role involves working on complex structural steel and temporary works packages, where your detailed drawings will directly inform what gets fabricated and built.The Role As a Steelwork Detailer, you will:Produce detailed fabrication and erection drawings using Tekla StructuresAccurately model steelwork assemblies, connections, and components to suit fabrication and site conditionsGenerate GA drawings, material lists, bolt lists, and CNC filesLiaise closely with engineers, fabricators, and site teams to resolve design and detailing queriesApply a buildability-focused approach to all outputs, ensuring accuracy and practicalityEnsure models and drawings comply with relevant codes, client standards, and internal QA proceduresThe Ideal CandidateProven steelwork detailing experience Proficient in Tekla Structures (essential)Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection methods, and connection typesFamiliar with Eurocodes and UK industry standardsSkilled at interpreting structural engineering drawings and calculationsHighly detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solvingExperience working in a Tier 2 or subcontractor environment preferredWhats On Offer?Work on technically challenging and varied structural steel projectsJoin a supportive, knowledgeable technical teamCompetitive salary, pension, and benefits packageOpportunities for long-term career progression and technical developmentEligibilityCandidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.If youre a skilled Steelwork Detailer ready to take the next step, please get in touch with your CV for immediate consideration.
