As part of their expansion, they are looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Account Handler to support one of the Directors in servicing and retaining a portfolio of large, complex, and high-value clients.This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking and client-centric business that prides itself on delivering exceptional service.The RoleAs a Senior Commercial Account Handler, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of high-value commercial clients, delivering a seamless and professional service. Key responsibilities include:Managing new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and negotiating competitive terms with insurers.Preparing high-quality reports and documentation to support Account Executives and Directors.Leveraging strong negotiation skills to secure the best possible outcomes from insurer partners.Handling accounts with premiums ranging from 10,000 to 500,000 GWP.Accurately maintaining client records using Acturis and ensuring FCA compliance at all times.Staying up to date with market developments and proactively sharing insights with clients and colleagues.Acting as a technical point of reference for the wider team, providing guidance and support where needed.About YouMinimum 5 years experience in commercial insurance, ideally within a brokerage environment.Solid all-round commercial knowledge, including Property Owners, PI, Cyber, and D&O.Proven experience handling clients with premiums exceeding 10,000.A good understanding of the insurer market, with established underwriter relationships preferred.Confident, commercially astute, and able to think creatively to find solutions.Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.Cert CII qualification as a minimum (or working towards it).Familiarity with Acturis is advantageous.Whats on OfferCompetitive salary up to 50,000 (depending on experience)26 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Private medical insuranceLife assurancePension contributionsSupport for professional qualificationsFree on-site parking at their easily accessible Harrogate officeIf you're looking to join a progressive brokerage where your experience will be valued and your career supported, we'd love to hear from you.
