Job Description Senior Consultant Quantity SurveyorUp to 65,000 | HarrogateProgression & Strategic InvolvementWe're searching for a chartered Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy in Harrogate that offer excellent career progression opportunities. You'll work across healthcare, commercial, industrial, heritage, and residential projects of varying size and complexity.Up to 65,000 pa, Dependent on ExperienceHarrogate BasedPrivate HealthcareRegular CPD, training and career progression opportunitiesAbout you:Professional Chartership RICS or equivalent5+ years post-qualification Quantity Surveyor experienceBSc in Quantity Surveying or similar related degree.Proven experience on private sector projects Commercial, residential, industrial, retail.Strong pre- and post- contract experience. JCT and NEC suite of contractsA background in construction; solid understanding of tender processes.The ability to manage a changing workload and a history of success delivering multiple projects.Organised with the ability to manage your time and workload.Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.The Role:Youll assess and manage the full commerciality of projects and deliver cost consultancy services for a variety of clients, projects and developments. Youll provide insight into the profitability and risks associated with client projects, whilst managing all financial aspects of construction projects.Your responsibilities:Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the highest of standards.Establishing client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.Preparing and analysing project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.Preparing tender and contract documents; negotiating contracts and work schedules.Contract administration including valuations, variations, and final accountsProviding cost analysis, advice, and reports to clients throughout the project lifecycle.Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.If you are a Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take the next step in your career and work with a consultancy who will provide with the tools and support to succeed, then please get in touch.
