Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter We are working with aestablished design / manufacturer of bespoke machinery based in Halifax. We have an excellent reputation for producing quality equipment for our partners and supplying a diverse range of bespoke equipment to a variety of industries in the UK and worldwide. We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join this team, who will play a vital role, supporting the R&D department and to work alongside existing Mechanical / Electrical Assemblers & Apprentices. The role primarily consists of fitting and assembling new machinery and other sub assemblies. Working with R&D department, you will build to assembly drawing and then follow the various processes in order to get the machine into production. Key Skills Required: Must have over 3 years hands on working experience as a Mechanical Fitter Engineering Qualification (ONC/BTEC/NVQ) or QBE would be an advantage Mechanical fitting / assembly experience is required at least 3 years Must have workshop knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining (desirable) Must be willing to transfer and learn new skills as required for the role Have good mechanical dexterity and hand / eye co-ordination Own tools would be beneficial The successful Mechanical Fitter will be required with: 4 Day working week (36 hours Monday to Thursday) Varied start times between 06.00 - 07.00 Overtime available when required Possible progression to Team Lead Automatic enrolment pension scheme 24 days paid holiday (includes bank holidays) Work wear provided On site parking Please send your CV to Zabina @ Quest Technical Ltd for immediate consideration TPBN1_UKTJ
