Production Manager

Production Manager Location: Hailsham, East Sussex Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to oversee and improve manufacturing processes within a precision engineering environment. This is a leadership role, managing production teams and delivering high-quality products on time and to specification. Youll have a strong background in CNC machining, UHV cleaning, assembly, quality control, and logistics, with a proven track record of managing people, optimising processes, and driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of production, including CNC machining, turning, milling, assembly, QC, and logistics Manage Cell Leaders and production staff to achieve quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery targets Work with Production Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales to align manufacturing with customer needs Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and controls Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation Lead health 'safety compliance within production areas Evaluate resources, develop talent, and plan for succession to close skills gaps About You Essential: Minimum 5 years leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum 5 years experience in precision parts production, with hands-on knowledge of CNC machining and assembly Strong understanding of ISO 9001, Lean principles, and continuous improvement tools ?
