UK Training Manager Location: Greater Manchester with UK Coverage (multi-site)Sector: Food Manufacturing / FMCGSalary Range: £50K - £60K + car Allowance + BenefitsI’m currently working on behalf of a leading UK food manufacturing business that is seeking a UK Training Manager to lead their training and development function across multiple sites.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced L&D professional who’s passionate about driving performance, ensuring compliance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.The RoleAs UK Training Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programmes that enhance employee capability while meeting key regulatory and operational standards. You’ll work closely with departmental heads and site leads to ensure learning is aligned to business goals and food safety requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and delivery of training strategies across functionsConduct training needs analyses and develop site-specific and role-specific training plansDesign engaging programmes covering food safety, hygiene, H&S, soft skills, and leadership developmentManage SOP creation, review, and implementationEnsure all programmes meet BRCGS, HACCP, and other regulatory compliance standardsOversee training records and documentation for audit and management reviewSupport the implementation of Train the Trainer and leadership development frameworksLeverage the Apprenticeship Levy effectively and maintain knowledge of DAS and levy transfer opportunitiesDrive innovation through digital tools and e-learning platformsMonitor performance and impact using clear KPIs and training data analytics Your Skills & ExperienceDemonstrable experience leading L&D or training functions in food manufacturingStrong understanding of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and complianceProven ability to manage training teams or coordinatorsHands-on experience designing, delivering, and improving training programmesKnowledge of Apprenticeship Levy systems and strategic utilisationCIPD Level 5 or 7 (or equivalent relevant qualification) preferredStrong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skillsOrganised, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects and reporting cycles
