Business Development Manager 45,000 - 55,000 + Bonus + Mobile + Laptop + Pension Scheme + 24 days Hols + BHs Our client specialises in importing bespoke FMCG Food products into the UK Food Distribution market. Due to growth and expansion plans they have created the brand-new role of Business Development Manager specifically focussing on the Cash & Carry and Secondary Wholesale market sectors. The Role We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to accelerate growth of the companys Food brands across the UK Wholesale and Cash & Carry channel, with a particular focus on ethnic wholesalers and independent retailers. This role is critical in building partnerships with leading Wholesalers, driving availability, visibility, and penetration of our brands within Independent Retail and Foodservice outlets supplied by these Wholesalers. This will include an existing portfolio of accounts, as well as developing new business. The successful candidate will combine commercial sales ability with a deep understanding of ethnic grocery trends and shopper behaviours, acting as the key link between our brands, wholesalers, and their independent customers. The Candidate Experience in account management and building a client base across the UK Cash & Carry and Wholesale market. Excellent communicator at all levels and have good commercial awareness Ability to work on own initiative and to tight timescales when necessary Be flexible in their approach and have a positive attitude Customer focused and solutions driven Excellent negotiation skills First rate communication and presentation skills both verbal and written Organized and effective time planner Ability to prioritise workload by importance Strong numerical skills and ability to analyse data A passion for driving costs out of the business & increasing profitability Ability to think outside the box and drive innovation Open minded and able to embrace and influence change Able to work under pressure in a competitive marketplace and gain market advantage A "can do and will do" attitude Able to deliver results.
