Job Description About UsTimloc Building Products is a British manufacturer with over 50 years experience supplying the merchant sector. Operating from our stateoftheart facility in East Yorkshire, we manufacture a wide range of sustainable building products from ground level through to the roof ridge. Our customers benefit from an industryleading nextday delivery service and a continually expanding product range that positions Timloc as a true onestop shop.The RoleDue to continued growth, we are expanding our External Sales Team and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager South.This is a homebased role covering the South region, ideally located around the Reading / Guildford area.Candidates must have proven experience selling building products directly to merchants and be based within the region. The successful applicant is likely to be operating in a similar role.Reporting directly to the Southern Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for the effective daytoday management, growth, and development of merchant accounts across the area.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement an area business plan in conjunction with the Southern Regional Sales Director, aligned with Timlocs overall commercial strategy.Build, maintain, and grow highquality, longterm relationships with both National and Independent merchant customers to maximise sales opportunities.Ensure consistent, professional standards of operation at all times, CRM reporting via Salesforce, quotations, pricing, and timely administration.Regularly review and analyse sales data to support commercial activity and identify customer and product growth opportunities.Identify and develop mutually beneficial relationships with: GroundworkersBrickwork contractorsRoofing contractorsDry lining contractorsDevelop productive working relationships with developers at both local and regional levels.Visit developer sites to understand current specifications and identify opportunities for the Timloc product range.Ensure merchant customers are fully informed about both existing and newly introduced products within the Timloc range.Deliver product training to merchant branch teams, either inbranch or via Microsoft Teams.Offer and Maintain in branch product merchandisingEssential Skills & ExperienceProven experience selling building products directly to merchants (essential).Existing relationships with merchant customers within the South region (essential).Confident and effective formal and informal presentation skills.Excellent written and facetoface communication skills.Proven negotiation and account management capability.Highly selfmotivated with the ability to work independently.Welldeveloped time management and organisational skills.Sound commercial awareness and business acumen.Confident user of Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRMWhy Join Timloc?Competitive salary package (negotiable, dependent on experience)Substantial bonus potential linked to sales performanceFully expensed electric company vehicleOpportunity to join a wellestablished and growing business with a genuine commitment to sustainability and innovationHow to ApplyIf you are currently working in an Area Sales Manager role selling directly to merchant customers and feel you have the experience and capability to succeed in this position, we would be delighted to hear from you.
